A Trinidad and Tobago national with a Master of Science in International Hotel and Resort Management at Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom.
Before that I studied Business Administration with major in Management and Economics at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia, USA. Whilst visiting vineyards in Napa – I developed a true passion and appreciation for wine.

After completing my studies at Oxford Brookes University, I moved to London. Started working at Bar Battu, an organic wine bar, The Vintry and the Intercontinental Park Lane. I later moved to Dubai and started working with some of the city’s best Sommeliers and at some of the city’s best restaurants.
I was part of the pre-opening team at Cave Wine Bar in the Conrad Hotel and Hakkasan, before joining Okku Dubai and becoming a Head Sommelier.
Three years later moved to Pierchic, part of Jumeirah Restaurant Group as a Beverage Manager. While in Dubai, I expanded my knowledge by studying Sake, cigars and spirits. My latest project was a return to the Caribbean at Jade Mountain Resort as a Restaurant Manager and Head Sommelier.
Awards In 2017 I was recognized by Caterer Middle East Magazine as Sommelier of the Year for the Middle East region.
I appeared in the Wine Spectator magazine for achieving the Award of Excellence for Okku Dubai.
I appeared in the Wine Spectator Magazine for achieving the Award of Excellence with Pierchic Dubai.
These awards have just validated my hard work and dedication to my passion and my career.
For the last eight years, wine knowledge, training and service has been my focus. My experience in the USA, UK and Dubai have all combined to allow me to understand the hospitality in leading world markets. It is this understanding and connection with people that allowed to at least double beverage revenue in every venue.
Recently, I decided to create my own company, BC Hospitality Limited including a Wine & Gourmet store, “Sommelier” to share my knowledge and passion with others. I am determined to work with local hospitality providers to take the Caribbean food and beverage to the next level.
